Capcom had a lot to show off during today’s Nintendo Direct. The focus was heavily on the Switch 2. From what we saw, they really didn’t waste time. We finally got a release date for the Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLC. Also, a brand new Onimusha game came out of nowhere. Then, there’s a portable version of Devil May Cry 5. We don’t own Nintendo Switch but we we’re overjoyed to hear that Nintendo gamers are having a wonderful year ahead!
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Hits in October
The new expansion for Dragon’s Dogma 2 is called Dark Arisen. It comes out on October 9, 2026. It’s a standard DLC for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC but on the Nintendo Switch 2, Capcom is selling a bundle with both the base game and the DLC on that same day. So, yay for that!
The DLC takes your character to a snowy northern area called Norgan. Fans will have the chance to hunt the Fallen Dragon. Endgame players will have 12 Lost Rites Dungeon Challenges or, in another words, new trial dungeons that allow grinding for rare armor and weapons.
Meanwhile, Capcom push to updates to add a reusable Eternal Ferrystone and multiple save slots. Better frame rates are also promised.
Onimusha is Actually Back
After 20 years, Onimusha is getting a new mainline game. Onimusha: Way of the Sword will grace our PC or console of choise on September 25, 2026.
You play as a young Miyamoto Musashi fighting demons in Edo-period Kyoto using the Oni Gauntlet. The neat thing for Switch 2 owners is the control scheme. Capcom says the game uses Joy-Con 2 motion controls, so you can physically swing your sword and aim your bow if you want to play that way.
Devil May Cry 5 on Switch 2
Devil May Cry 5 will finally make the jump to Nintendo hardware. The Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition will be on the Switch 2 eShop on June 23, 2026.
Understandable, this version will include the base game, the playable Vergil DLC, and some extra costumes and music tracks. Capcom says it will run at 60 frames-per-second whether you play it docked to a TV or in handheld mode.
Thank you for reading! Which game excites you the most?
