Our favorite part of every Stuff Packs is when we discover that the devs have added another hobby for our Sims to pick up. Home Chef Hustle is a DLC that gives us a reason to do something more profitable with all the food we’ve been making. Now we can bake pizzas, prepare waffles, and set up a food stand outside the house to see if the neighbours are hungry.

The stuff pack will not replace Get to Work’s retail system or the larger businesses introduced in later expansions. It’s a pack that keeps things simple. Even so, we appreciated the new possibility to earn a few extra Simoleons without taking on a full-time career.
A Better Equipped Kitchen
The Sims™ 4 Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack adds a portable pizza oven, a waffle maker, and a stand mixer. All of them instantly unlock several new recipes, but it doesn’t stop at them. As our Sim’s Cooking skill improved, the menu gradually expanded with more dishes to prepare.
Of all the things that we could make, pizzas were are fave. It’s satisfying to prepare the dough, add toppings, and, finally, pull a freshly baked pizza out of the oven. Our second fave thing to do, you ask? Well, the waffle maker offers a similar experience, especially once more recipes become available.
All those dirty dishes won’t wash themselves so the pack also includes a compact dishwasher that fits comfortably into smaller kitchens. It’s an addition that’s practical even outside the new cooking mechanics.
Opening for Business
Once we’d prepared enough meals, we loaded everything into the stand, gave our little business a name, and waited for customers to arrive. Neighbours were more than willing to stop by to browse the menu and buy whatever we’d cooked that day.
It’s a simple loop that will most likely keep you entertained for a short while. It helps that cooking is not treated as another household chore, but as a potentially lucrative job where you have control over the process. One day can be a pizza day. The next day you could go crazy and fill the display with baked treats.
The pack includes aspirations built around both mastering the new appliances and becoming a successful food seller. You’re covered if you’re looking for a few long-term goals without making the whole experience feel too structured.
A Warm, Everyday Style
The Build & Buy catalogue focuses on modern kitchens with warm colours and practical furniture. It fits naturally into most homes. Or maybe our taste can be easily accomodated. Either way, nothing feels overly flashy. Many of the objects blend nicely with furniture from the base game and other packs.
The Create-A-Sim additions didn’t disappoint, especially when it came to be properly dressed for a bussiness like this. We got to dress our Sims with aprons and casual clothing. nd everyday hairstyles suit Sims who spend their time cooking without making every outfit feel like a chef’s uniform. We found ourselves using several of the clothing pieces well beyond households built around the pack’s theme.
A Nice Fit for Sims Who Love Cooking
Home Chef Hustle gives cooking a purpose way beyond just feeding the family. For a while, it was a fun, fresh hobby that kept things interesting. But now, if you’ll excuse us—it’s Waffle Day, and the neighbors are getting hangry!
