Capcom just confirmed that Ingrid is officially rounding out the Street Fighter 6 Year 3 DLC pass. The cosmic magic-user drops on May 28 across all platforms, including the Switch 2.

You probably remember her strange debut back in 2004’s Capcom Fighting Evolution. She was also a guest in Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX. It’s been a minute since then, but her new version brings a highly unusual playstyle to the current SF6 meta.
Her kit is the new “Sun Crests” system. You can store up to four charges of solar energy during a match to buff her specials. This, gives them better range, extra hits, and it also unlocking new combo extensions. Seriously, you have to check that trailer!

Even without the buffs, she’s designed to be a mix-up character. She has flexible energy beams and quick teleports to bait out whiffs, plus an anti-air defensive shield. And her Level 3 Super, “Cosmic Ray,” is screen-filling laser that’s going to be a massive headache to block.
Year 3 Character or Ultimate Pass holders will unlock her automatically at launch. She’s dropping with two looks:
- her new wintery traveler redesign and
- her classic purple school uniform throwback.
Capcom is also using the May 28 update to finally release Outfit 3 for the rest of the Year 3 crew—Alex, C. Viper, and Sagat.

Street Fighter 6 has been sold in 6 million copies sold worldwide. Do you have a copy and, if so, are you excited about the upcoming updates?
