In a game literally named after a felony, playing the good guy feels like a rebellious act. Rockstar Games is leaning hard into that irony with the return of the Neighborhood Watch Event in GTA Online. This week focuses on flashing lights and sirens. It brings a massive wave of law enforcement gear. There are also bounty hunting bonuses and vigilante justice on the notoriously chaotic streets of Los Santos.

If you’re going to patrol the city, you need the right ride. The standard Bravado Buffalo Cruiser is on the market right now. Speed freaks might want to hold onto their wallets. The high-performance Buffalo STX Pursuit hits dealerships on April 9. To give everyone a reason to break in these new toys, Rockstar is doubling the cash and RP on standard Dispatch Work through mid-April. It’s a great excuse to dust off your siren and start pulling over the local maniacs.
The financial bonuses for this event are split into a slightly convoluted two-part schedule, so you’ll want to keep an eye on the calendar. Until April 8, you’re getting double payouts for snapping wildlife photos and running the classic Vespucci Job mode. Meanwhile, your Bail Office staff are working overtime, generating double their usual passive income. Come April 9, the focus shifts entirely to high-speed chases. You’ll score triple rewards on Pursuit Races, while standard bounties and the remixed Vespucci Job get a healthy double payout boost.

You can’t be a proper cop without the uniform, but the developers are locking the best threads behind some actual police work. Knocking out five Dispatch missions before April 8 scores you a summer police uniform and a cool $200,000. Follow that up by securing two bounties next week, and you’ll unlock the winter gear plus another $100,000. Park Ranger owners get free seasonal outfits just for logging in, and if you’d rather just watch other people play, Twitch drops are offering a highway patrol outfit and up to a million in virtual cash. If you haven’t bought into the cop fantasy yet, a massive chunk of the game’s police vehicles and Bail Office upgrades are heavily discounted right now.

This update feels like a massive nod to the dedicated roleplaying community that has kept GTA Online thriving for over a decade. Between the deep discounts on cruisers and the beefed-up bounty payouts, it’s undeniably a fantastic week to operate on the right side of the law.
